Dr. Vernon Beamon

Vernon Beamon, D.M.D.

Veteran dentist Vernon Beamon, D.M.D., P.A., has provided excellent family dental care on the Mississippi Gulf Coast since the year 2000.

His longstanding goal is to provide the best in dental care, with compassion and concern for every patient who visits his Gulfport clinic.

A native Mississippian, Dr. Beamon graduated from St. Joseph High School in Jackson, where he excelled in math, science and the game of tennis. He was a four-time Mississippi High School State Tennis Champion as well as winner of numerous USTA-sanctioned tournaments.

In college, he pursued his interests in the sciences and competed in collegiate tennis.

He completed his Doctorate of Dental Medicine (D.M.D.) degree at the University of Mississippi School of Dentistry in 1997 in Jackson. There, he was recognized by professors and colleagues for his outstanding attention to detail and his clinical skills.

"I like the arts and science of dentistry," Dr Beamon said. "It's got art. It's got science. So that kind of intrigued me! It has the medical side of it, the different pathologies you have to diagnose. Then you have the arts side of it – making someone's tooth look beautiful again, or doing a full-mouth reconstruction.

"Restoring someone’s smile is the art of it."

Today, Dr. Beamon continues to attend dental training and educational courses to learn new and innovative procedures that ensure his patients receive superior care.

Patients of Dr. Beamon and his highly trained staff often comment on their stress-free and pain-free dental visits, in addition to their improved teeth. They note on social media Dr. Beamon's caring disposition and professionalism.

Dr. Beamon's dental practice is not a chain that rotates patients with any dentist, doesn’t care to learn names and is "here today and gone tomorrow." He has committed himself to caring for the people of the Mississippi Gulf Coast. His clinic’s doors were almost immediately opened after devastating Hurricane Katrina to treat citizens in need. Dr. Beamon is proud of his roots in the local community and considers it an honor to care for the people of the Gulf Coast.

He is a member of the American Academy of Dentistry, the Gulfport Dental Society and several other dental organizations. He still is active in tennis and enjoys traveling. He resides in Gulfport with his wife and children.
